At the time of writing, the price of a barrel of crude oil sits at around , and this is expected to rise as demand increases, reserves get smaller, and much of the world continues to sit in economic turmoil. These factors have combined to bring petrol prices in the UK to a staggering all time average high of £1.28 per litre, and diesel in most cases, topping £1.30.

These soaring prices are a cause for concern for all regular motorists as each mile is costing more and more.
